Notice for Xiamen University International Students' Photography Competition
各学院（研究院、直属系）：
为讲好中国故事，深化人文交流、推动文明互鉴，展示真实、立体、全面的中国，展现国际学生的良好精神风貌，我校拟举办首届厦门大学国际学生摄影大赛，让学生发现生活中的文化元素、当代中国的变化，以艺术摄影的形式展现自身对于生活日常的独特见闻。具体通知如下。
To All Colleges/Schools (Research Institutes and Directly Affiliated Departments):
In order to tell the story of China, deepen cultural communication, promote mutual learning among civilizations, and showcase the real, three-dimensional and comprehensive China, our college is organizing the first Xiamen University International Students’ Photography Competition. Students are encouraged to explore the cultural elements within their lives, observe the evolving landscape of contemporary China, and express their unique perspectives on daily life through the medium of art photography.

四、大赛内容
IV. Content
本次赛事采用摄影作品征集的方式进行，参赛作品以真实生活和切身体验为创作基础，须为原创，未在其他书、报、刊、网站、新媒体平台公开发表，也未向其他同类比赛投稿。
The competition is conducted in the form of a collection of photographic works, and entries must be based on real life and personal experience, be original, and not have been published in any other format, such as books, newspapers, periodicals, websites, new media platforms, or submitted to similar competitions.
五、参赛作品要求
Ⅴ. Photography Requirements
1.围绕活动主题，用镜头捕捉在华或与中国有关的真实瞬间。作品内容可以是校园生活、大众人物、自然风光、风土人情等，拍摄地为中国境内或与中国元素相关的其他国家和地区。
1. Entries must capture real moments within or related to China. The works are expected to feature campus life, public figures, natural scenery, customs, etc. The photographs can be taken with China or other countries and regions associated with Chinese elements.
2.作品要求画面清晰、内容健康，具有一定的艺术表现力、感染力。摄影作品黑白、彩色均可，须附100字以内文字对作品予以说明。每人可提交不超过2件作品，单幅照片和组照（每组不超过3张，按1件计算）均可。
2. The work should have clear imagery, positive content, and a certain degree of artistic expression and appeal. The color can be various, and accompanied with a text of less than 100 words to explain the work. Each participant can submit no more than 2 works, consisting of a single photo and a group photo (no more than 3 photos per group, counted as one piece).
3.作品一律采用JPG格式，单反、微单、手机拍摄的作品均可参赛，压缩文件要求不低于3MB。参赛作品均不退稿，请作者保留好原始底片或数字文件。
3. All submissions must be in JPG format, and photographs taken using SLR, MILC, or mobile phones are accepted. The compressed file size must not be less than 3MB. Entries will not be returned. Please retain the original negatives or digital files.
4.参赛作品须为原创。参赛选手应保证享有摄影作品充分、完全、排他的著作权，不侵犯第三方的肖像权、名誉权等其他知识产权以及个人所有权。
4. Entries must be original. Contestants shall ensure that they hold full, complete and exclusive copyright of the photographic works, and do not infringe on other intellectual property rights such as portrait rights, reputation rights and personal ownership rights of third parties.
5.大赛组委会享有对参赛作品展示、汇编、发行及网络传播等权利，不再另付稿酬，参赛者享有署名权。
5. The Organizing Committee has the right to display, compile, distribute and disseminate the entries, without paying no additional remuneration, and participants have the right of authorship.
六、时间安排
Ⅵ. Schedule
2024年4月—6月，具体分为三个阶段：
April to June 2024, divided into three phases:
1. 报名阶段：5月10日之前，提交报名表并发送参赛作品。
1. Registration stage:Before May 10, submit the registration form and send the entries.
2.评奖阶段：5月中下旬，大赛组委会将组织相关人员对参赛作品进行评选，最终评选结果将于学院微信公众号、网站进行公示，并对获奖人员进行表彰。
2. Award stage: In mid to late May, the Organizing Committee will organize relevant personnel to assess the entries, and the final results will be announced on the WeChat public account and website of the College, and the winners will be recognized.
3.宣传展示阶段：本次赛事摄影获奖的作品，拟定于6月初在厦门大学翔安校区坤銮楼展厅进行展览。
3. Publicity and display stage:Early June, the award-winning works of this competition will be be exhibited in the exhibition hall of Kunluan Building, Xiang’an Campus, Xiamen University.
七、参赛方式
Ⅶ. Participation
5月10日之前扫码填写报名表，同时将参赛作品发送至15653527785@163.com，邮件标题统一命名格式为：摄影+姓名+作品标题。
Scan the QR code to complete the registration form before May 10, and send the entries to the 15653527785@163.com at the same time. The email subject should follow the unified format: photography + name + title of the work.
八、奖项设置
Ⅷ. Awards
一等奖：2名，奖金500元及获奖证书；
二等奖：3名，奖金300元及获奖证书；
三等奖：5名，奖金200元及获奖证书；
优秀奖：10名，奖品及获奖证书；
赛事奖项将视参赛人数和作品质量酌情增减。
1st prize: 2 winners (prize moneyand award certificate)
2nd prize: 3 winners (prize moneyand award certificate)
3rd prize: 5 winners (prize money and award certificate)
Excellence Award:10 winners (prize money and award certificate）
The awards may vary depending on the number of participants and the quality of works.
